I have a 2008 Compass and don't want to pay $300CDN to the dealer. Does anyone have suggestions where I can find a set for a reasonable price? I am in the Toronto are, but I will buy from anywhere if the price is right. Thanks, Glimroc |

You can buy a pair of aftermarket rails from a supplier/manufacturer on eBay shipped for ~ $150. I had to carry some 14ft lumber and crudely secured 1.5 wood stock across the rails and locked them in place by wiring down throw the loops on the outside of the rails. It did the job. A closer look and making a wooden set would not be difficult just coming up with a metal bracket to go into the inner wide slot of the rail and locking it on the outside loops.
Good luck, I have a platform that goes into my hitch. I have to take a hot water tank to my cottage and thats how it will get there via the platform.
