Default driving in snow hearng noise

today were getting 20 cm of snow, so i went out and drove for a bit, when i accel out of corners and it starts to slide, this loud noise kicks in at the rear like abs brakes or something this is in 2x4 when i clck 4x4 i didnt notice it as bad.... what is the noise also when the noise goes the anti slip light lights uup on the dase.... why does it do this?

Hi,

It is possible that the "Traction Control" is activating and trying to keep the slide to a minimum.

My understanding is that the system (ABS, traction control) all work together to minimize roll-overs and slides.

ya i think so too i just read the manual and it states what you just said. turn the ecs off and t doesnt do it.
