Jeep Compass provides off-road excitement and economy

The 2011 Jeep Compass combines the distinctive styling of the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee, the size and economy of a compact SUV 4x4, and a surprisingly low entry level price. As a result, the 2011 Compass is the perfect vehicle for drivers wanting to tap into Jeep excitement and off-road capability on a budget.

The 2011 Jeep Compass now offers Trail Rated® 4x4 capability with its Freedom-Drive® II Off- Road package, the same capability found on higher-priced Jeep models. Yet it also offers an up to 12 per cent improvement in fuel economy -9.2 L/100 km city (31 mpg) and 7.2 L/100 km highway (39 mpg) -- upgraded steering and suspension for exceptional ride and handling, and more than 30 available safety and security features. These include standard electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist and side-curtain airbags that cover all rows.

The Jeep 2.4-litre World Engine (172-horsepower and 165 ft-lbs. of torque) is standard on all models.

Inside, the 2011 Jeep Compass features new soft-touch front-door trim panels with a padded upper surface; a new three-spoke Jeep steering wheel with integrated controls that allow the driver to operate the radio, speed control, available hands-free phone and other vehicle functions while keeping their hands on the wheel; and standard speed control on all models.
