Default Lighting not a Compass

One of my creative outlets is doing lighting for stage, TV and special events. Got back from my road trip and immediately started setting up lighting for a friends wedding reception.

The venue is an old manufacturing plant. About 700 people in attendance and the band was rocking. Sorry new camera = fuzzy photos.

The grooms family starting with the grandfather are all pilots. The ice sculpture and the grooms cake are both airplanes.

Nice work! The ice sculpture is a DC- something or other. It's not a DC-3, that I know.

You may ask what does this post have to do with a Jeep Compass even though it is off topic.

Just one thing.... every theatrical light used for this event and there were over thirty par 64's and Leko's total used. As well as cable and a number of miscellaneous lights were carried in one trip in my Compass.

I think that we can be pretty liberal in the "off topic" forum. Let's keep it semi PC, and non radical Ok? It's called having fun without anyone getting hurt. I hope that this is possible! Have fun!

Smoke, funny you mention a truss. I have been kicking around in my head a dolly, like those used by tow trucks, strapped to a bundle of trusses and a hitch.

It would have to be better than this guy in Texas.

J2 have you ever noticed in comedy there is a victim 99 times out of a hundred. Even if the victim is the one telling the joke.

It would be super easy to pull truss with the compass. On the farm we have what basically looks like a beam with wheels we use to carry the combine header. Outfitted with some modified side beams it would easily carry truss. If I did more outside the theatre, or if it was my job that's what i'd consider. Most of ours come in one 54' truck. Unless you're AC/DC of course.....
