auto shift feature.. is it bad for the tranny?

i know if you use the "shift" mode on most automatics using the 1 2 d2 d one the cars its not good for the transmision... however is it bad to use the autoshift mode on the compass? will it wear down the tranny faster?

It shouldn't. There are no physical gears and the transmission computer will automatically shift to a different range if you are pushing it too hard.

The transmission belt will wear out over time but that is to be expected with the CVT. If it wears out before the maintenance interval, it should be covered under warranty (note the word should...)
