Thumbs up 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Only one event left (which we will obvioulsy get the gold medal) and Canada exceeded expectations ......

Congratulations to all the athletes............for their great performance, it is a lifetime of sacrifice for a moment of glory......that doesn't end up on a podium every time........

You gave us a lot of thrills for the past 2 weeks............I simply love the Winter Olympics.............I guess It should be as we live in Nortnern climate.........

Until next time in Sotchi............thank you !

I think we heah en da deap sauth ought to have a "Cajun Olympics". There could be events like gator tossing, crawfish eatin marathon, Nutria bulldoging, pirogue racing, po-boy making, fiddlin, crab net making race, momma slappin contest, and last but not least, toilet seat horseshoe throwing.

Good for all the 2010 olympic contestants!!!

That's funny, that would most definitely be a good start on the Cajun olympics haha! I heard on the radio the other day some ideas for the redneck olympics.....hub cap discus, tranny swappin', engine bench press, monster truck racing, watermelon shooting, mudpit belly flop and armpit serenade.....to name just a few. Thank goodness for seatbelts 'cause I would have fallen out of my truck laughing!

Seriously, though, Ffl, good post! It was a great olympics, I enjoy the winter games myself, and really got to watch a good bit of it this time and congrats to all the winners for their hardwork but to all that participated, all represented their respective countries well and with the exception of a little beer and a couple cigars (which really didn't bother me so I don't see the stink about it) great performances by all, it was a joy to watch, and a little nerve racking at times 'cause some events the athletes make me nervous 'cause I want to see them do well and "land it" so to speak! Look forward to 2014!!!

Well it's all over now and although not one being patriotic , I must admit that I am proud to be Canadian today......our team did really good..........and congratulations to our American friends for their records medal counts............finishing first overall.

Canada broke a record with the most gold medal (14) in a winter Olympics and finished often 4th or 5th in a large number of events........

This is spring break for us up here..........and we will hit th slope thai afternoon ......not a lot of snow left but we will be outside at least...............

Congrats to our Canadian friends, I didn't get to watch the last hockey game, but heard it was a good one! Great performances by all and I'm sure your president is awaiting his case of Molsen beer owed to him by our president, lol!

My apologies, you're right of course. I was just listening to the news on tv, not actually watching it, so that's what I thought I heard them say. Really, I am more educated than that haha, but congrats to y'all anyway!

I thought what they did with the leg of the torch in the closing ceremonies was pure genius. It added drama that just could not have been planned.......... or was it? LOL

Everything was planned at the closing and had been tested several times prior to the ceremony
