After the Compass had bird droppings on it for a week, I noticed that the damage done was extensive... The black paint does not help... any ideas what can be done to resolve this? Took it to a paint shop and they told me that they could probably buff and wax it out... about 90% chance of getting it done.
That sounds about right. The bird droppings are on the clearcoat but if it sits too long it will damage things further. Just get it cleaned, polished/waxed, and it should be fine.
Hi i'm the wife of th bird crapped car. I only have one thing to say, if you guys all paid as much attention to your wives as you did your cars you would have a lot of happy women in the world. From my point of view you can hardly see the damage on the car, personally I didn't see anything.

I have to disagree, we do pay attention to our wives. Although it doesn't happen often, when my wife does get hit with a bird dropping, I immediately clean it off of her...
