Exclamation NOTICE: Jeep's Provided Funnel Sucks

Not a true emergency situation. I am a personal prepper, and it is time to start cycling out my gasoline stash. It is the first time since owning this Compass. I found out quick that the provided funnel sucks. Yes, it pushes both flappers open, and is very decent size (inside diameter) to flow fuel. The problem is, it does not stay in place. As soon as I release my hand from the white funnel, it is pushed out by the inner flap. I don't know too many people who, alone, can hold a 5 gallon gas can, operate the dumb EPA lever-thingy-majiger-whoozy-whatsit and hold the funnel in place.

My Jeep now has a hard plastic red funnel. I'll need to measure one day to cut the tip off to reduce restriction, but it stays in place unlike the factory one.

I'm not too surprised to hear that. I'm wondering which safety spout you have though because the spout on my 5-gal can I think would push right in and work without any funnel at all. Could be wrong, I haven't tried it.

I didn't even know it came with a funnel. Learn something new everyday.

I just verified this on my Wife's new 2018 Compass. I tried the funnel and found it promptly ejects the funnel if you let go of it. Looks like a 2 person effort to use the funnel and add fuel by gas can.
