Largest Tires to fit '18 Sport?

Hi all,

Just bought a brand new 2018 Jeep Compass with my fiance. So far we love it! I was curious though, what is the largest tire size you can fit on these SUV's without a lift? We have the FWD model with 16 inch rims. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this is any help but I have a '15 sport and I'm running 17" rims with a 225 x 65 x 17 on my wheels...The tire shop said I may be able to fit 18"s on there but they may rub when making sharp turns...Looking at her I think I could probably go up to 70s or 75s on the aspect as she still looks to have lots of clearance...I do recommend talking to someone at a tire shop though...

I have the same new Jeep with the same question. I figure you could pull the tires off a Lattitude, Trail Hawk or Limited and slap them on the Sport (the Limited comes with 20" rims!). Maybe someone can respond who knows for sure...

Not quite 20", they come Standard with 18" rims and can be configured with 19". Personally I think 18" are as large as I would go, mainly because I wouldn't want the sidewalls much thinner than that on a SUV (even as a CUV). But that is assuming that you were sticking with the right profile. I guess keeping the same sidewall thickness maybe there is space for another inch or two. But the rears are offset from the wheel well so it would be harder to go "larger".

Decent & Inexpensive solution to stock steel wheels

Rookie mistake LoL. Yes, you are right, the take-off set I was looking at is 19". BTW if anyone interested there on eBay now but way-way overpriced IMHO.
Also, my problem is solved. I got my windows tinted today and they sold wheels too. Long story short. I said I wanted a 16" replacement rim. They showed me the TOUREN for $150 each. I went home... used the googler and I bought them from Walmart. I know! I know! Walmart, but my simple, low-cost solution for my Diamond Black Sport with UGLY steel wheels was to replace them while keeping the brand new tires. $93 per wheel. They didn't charge me tax and free shipping so my solution was only $375 (I'll get them mounted at Costco). I'll post a pic of my ride if anyone interested after their put on.
