There has been a lot of talk on here about led bulbs, some having issues and others not. Let's start a list of ones that work or don't.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XH...o_pop_mb_pd_t2

These work for fog lights with no modifications or canbus adapter needed

They also work for headlights with a small modification to the dust cap and no canbus adapter needed.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MQ...o_pop_mb_pd_t2

These fit the drl with some trimming of a tab on the bulb. However there is an issue of them staying on very dim for up to an hour after the vehicle is shut off. Possibly a canbus issue. I would not recommend these.

I recently installed these for the DRLs and they work great. Fit was perfect and they shut off completely when the vehicle is off. No issues and light output was great, direct plug and play.

I'm unable to post the link to them but you can search "Catinbow LED Fog Light Bulbs PSX24W" in Amazon and they'll come up.

Do you happen to have any pics of the DRLs with the new bulbs? Thanks for the report.

I ended going with these for both headlight and fog lights. Output is awesome with beam pattern as the halogen bulb instead of all over the place. Fitment was also great with no dust cover clearance issues.

And these for the DRLs. Hope the link works since I was unable to load it previously.

I put those in my DRL and can confirm they fit perfectly and unlike some others the do not stay dim after turned off.

I have received no dash errors even when accidentally having the plug on backwards for the light. I'm starting to wonder if it would even tell you at all

The lower current draw from LED bulbs can make the canbus system think the bulb is out. Using some LED bulbs requires the use of an additional component to prevent canbus error lights.

Ordered these, just installed. But they suck!!! in the headlight, couldn't get them to lock into the headlight correctly since they kept slipping on the center ring that allows you to change it's angle. Already got it boxed up to go back to Amazon. They worked fine in the fogs tho.

So now I'm left with LED DRL and fogs but OEM halogen gonna order some auxbeam next.

I had no issues with mine. Adjustment was fairly easy and no additional harness was required. Install might suck but light output is great with them. I originally purchased the aux beam's but the beam was everywhere and they have no adjustment whatsoever. Also, they did not fit with the dust cover back on them.

Nice, I just put this brand in my motorcycle. I have to double check, but I think these also have the SAE/DOT approval on my box as well. The beam cutoff was identical to the halogens on the bike.

I went with the auxbeam f16 h11, they fit perfectly behind the dustcap, a lot better than the previous bulbs did.

You have to loosen three screws from the inner fender by the wheel well, and move move it enough so I can reach under it to the back of the light bulb, trust me took me a while to figure this out. I almost took apart the whole bumper cuz i wanted to change the bulbs so bad.

Has anybody replaced the reverse lights with LEDs that do not stay lit when vehicle is off? I bought some Phillips LEDs and 1 side stays lit when turned off.

I started using these guys:

https://www.lasfit.com/

Look up what you need there or on eBay just put there name in the search and what bulb you need. Their CANBUS turn signal lights are great no errors and all high-quality stuff(have them in my compass and Tahoe). Not the cheapest but they are really helpful on messages and take back returns easily. Just did my whole Tahoe with there products with new headlight and had to return some stuff it was no problem at all.

Bought some Chinese cheap crap for my DRL on the compass and they stay on after the car is off. Going to replace what I can from these guys then go from there.

so, for now, Tahoe is completely done with the company above no errors. the compass only has CANBUS turn lights installed but will come back and let you know how everything looks and works on the compass once it is done.

PS: doing a project to switch my reflective headlight to projector headlight from some Chinese manufacturers, that thread is in the mods area if you want to just keep an eye on it. more DRL on that headlight and will have turn signal LED in the headlight as well. so we will see.... haha

I have done mine with cheap LED off eBay just to kind of see what would happen as I always have done LED in projector headlights and never reflective because you are always told not to do that....

It is pretty bad IMO beam pattern wise... it is like having my brights on as when I flip on my brights it doesn't give me any more brights because my lights are already shooting that high... :/

My fog light seem to suffer as well, they point down but my low beams are just throwing light everywhere for me to notice there help. I am thinking of getting yellow LED fog bulbs to see if that helps me find out what my fog lights are doing.

Personally, I might be switching back soon in my low-beams. Thoughts on yellow LED for fogs? yeah or nay?

IronWalls are garbage. Fitment issues in the factory housings, then they scattered light like crazy once I did get them in. And they put out less light than the factory bulbs.

Check out diode dynamic SL1 bulbs. They are made for reflector housing like the compass has(non hid version).

Yes, no issues or codes here is the link. Again search eBay for what you need and just add "lasfit" before or after the blub you are looking to exchange.

Link front blinker no error: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-7443...t/123474473039

Used these same CANBUS blinkers on my wife Tahoe they are always on turn signal blub so they actually shine white while always on then switch to amber when we turn. Top notch stuff, will give you before and after of the taillight install. No, need for a resistor for the front turn signal on the compass, but the back is a different story as you don't want a yellow light although it is just white 7443 blub. I got a red LED 7443, tried to install without resistor but no dice. Links below on what I am going to do 2nd install with. Doing the reverse, I did not get a resistor for the backup bulb as it doesn't blink it is an on and off only. Will update with before and after pics and if the reverse white LED needs resistor as well. Links for all I used below.

Red LED brake/blinker rear: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-7443...7/323412537345
Resistor they recommended: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2pc-Canbus-...3/122910818667
White LED reverse blub: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-7440...6/122852812612
T10 side indicator: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-T10-...b/123004561458

I also did my inside swap to LED a while back with some generic china white LED on eBay... was ok with them they were not the best and left a glow. Thought that was normal, but found out that is due to crap LED's. Picked up their's and they are expensive, but I needed some for the Tahoe anyway. They are so much brighter it is shocking..... I left the dome ones in of the old china ones, will do before and after shots(and the license plate area as well). No afterglow either anymore!

White T10: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LASFIT-T10-...e/123043426833

------------------

These LED's are not bargain prices, but dam they are good LED's!

Anyway does anyone have DRL LED's that won't glow? Mine glow... I need to bump this china junk... I will do Lasfit product but wanted to see other options from other people.

will post pics when I do the conversion.

Link? I am thinking of trying doing cheap LED yellows for my fog lights. I have cheap white LED's in the fogs now... but the low beams throw light all over can't tell if the white fogs are even doing anything. So I am going yellow

Did they work in high beams? Have you seen my post in jeep compass modification area? Little of a cluster right now but looking at getting these and they are moving them to work with my compass or our compasses that have reflector housing. I will keep an update here and there on what happens to that mod. eBay and PayPal have me covered if things go south.

These look like them:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F123149427571

I didn't try the high beams. I tried installing one low beam, had fitment issues, so I swapped to the other. Finally got it in, just to have less light and more scatter. It was daylight out, but I was in the shade. I could clearly see the factory light output and cutoff, but the new LED I couldn't see at all. I originally thought it wasn't even on, until I noticed a slight shadow on the wall. I did notice the LED on this bulb was slightly higher than the filament on the factory bulb. That probably caused the excess scatter. After all of that, I didn't even bother with the rest of the bulbs. Personally, I'd go somewhere else for a quality LED.

Yeah I have seen those on eBay, for high beams you need the low profile 9005 LED blubs, I am not sure even HID would fit 😕

I used these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F332041452404

To fit the High beams you need LED without a fan. I don't think they help much and I don't feel like putting in the old halogen blubs. Again it is hard to see if they are helping because of my lowbeams.

Bummer man hope you find some

I've got a set like those for my fog lights. Again, I was too frustrated with the one install that I pretty much gave up on the IronWalls brand, so I haven't actually tried them. Maybe I should
