loose roof trim

Anyone loose this part? They keep coming off and now have flown off while driving. I don't want to pay for cheap defective parts but don't know what to do?

I lost one and just made a thread about it. Have you replaced them before?

BTW, is 5UP41RXFAB the correct part number (left side) and do they just slide/clip on the bolt there?

I haven't replaced as of yet. Waiting for stealership to address poor quality parts.

I had the same problem with the Compass (see picture) we had and they ended up replacing them. The screws that meet the nut housings are completely missing from the factory or vibrated completely off during driving. This car already has a horrible reputation for quality and reliability hence why I got out of my lease and into a new RAM instead. Dealer told me it will continue to happen due to poor design.

The parts are pretty cheap anyway. 5UP40RXFAB is for the passenger side and 5UP41RXFAB for the driver side (US model). Figures I'd order the wrong one the first time around, but now I have an extra lol. mymoparparts.com was the cheapest place I found. If they keep falling off, some stronger double-sided tape would probably help. The only thing that holds the part on are metal flaps that bend around a bolt when pushed down and a small piece of adhesive in the front.

Garage
This happened to me on the driver side. Dealership replaced it under warranty. Here is the part number from my paperwork:

I bought mine off eBay for like $14.00. It was a quick fix that wasn't worth going to the dealer.
