Mopar Roof Rack Questions

I just installed the Mopar roof rack and have a few questions (first roof rack, so I'm sure some are simple).

1) What are the locks for? It seems like you could just remove the bolts holding it to the roof if you wanted to take the rack.

2) Why do the end caps with the Jeep logo flip up?

3) Do people generally leave them on all the time or remove them when not in use? They're pretty quiet (at least once I installed the rubber strips under the bears).

4) Lastly, does anyone know the part number or where to get replacement rubber strip that goes in the channel under the bar to block wind noise? I moved the rear bar position and had to cut them differently because the of the different width.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. For #2, looks like it flip up to slide adapters for different cargo carries in. For #4, looks like it's Thule Cover Strip Lower 360 AEROBAR Sku : 8524498001 from link in thread above.

Given how quiet the bars are, I'll probably just leave mine on all the time too.
