Sun Load Sensor (Sun light sensor)

Hello I'm posting because I was investigating to see if I can add auto head lights to my compass.

I took this pictures of where the supposed sun Load Sensor it's

I added

I'm asking if anyone with auto headlights

Could check if they actually have a sensor in there. Not a spacer like I.

My compass has what I call a dummy in place of the sensor. Just a cover. Not a real sensor.

interesting...

Does the sport not have auto lights? Either way, do you believe it is going to be plug and play project? As long as you can get parts and such?

going to keep watching this project!

Depends on if the wiring to the sensor is there and if you can find a scanner to software activate it (or find a dealer that is wiling to activate it). Aftermarket scanners with alfaOBD would work, but 2018+ models have a security module to prevent this (so only authorized dealer scanners can access modules), you need to install a security bypass module to access modules and activate stuff.

I enable with AlfaOBD Twilight Sensor, and auto headlights work( partially) it needs the sensor to shut down when it reads the ambient light. The real breaker here would be locating the cable. The only point of reference I have is the HVAC Module. thats where the other ends

Jaime Figueroa were you able to find the location of the twilight sensor cable to get the auto headlights to work? What else has to be activated with alfaobd besides the twilight sensor for auto headlights? I bought a new switch with auto headlights etc. and want to get the auto headlights working so any help will be greatly appreciated. New to the forum and new2019 jeep compass sport owner.

Haven't found the wiring location. I know it must be somewhere in there. I just haven't had the chance to open up the dash.
