I was cruising through the Jeep website and noticed that if you build & price a 2019 Compass the name of the engine is the "2.4L MultiAir I-4 Zero Evap".
I noticed that 2018 model's engine is simply the "2.4L MultiAir I-4".
Why the need to tag on the "Zero-Evap" in the 2019 models? Has something changed and they may have addressed certain oil consumption issues in the 2019's?
Not likely. Zero evaporation engine is a standard that indicates the engine has zero emission from evaporating gasoline. Under standard operation such an engine burns all the gasoline that enters to the engine and non leaves the car as gasoline vapor. It indicates advance fuel economy measures.
