I have a 2019 Compass Trailhawk with 2500 miles. We installed a security camera at home yesterday and I noticed that when my car is parked, and after it’s been off about 40-60 mins, the tail lights flash on/off once very quickly about every 10 minutes. It happened all last night and is happening again tonight. Has anyone ever had this happen or have any idea what could be causing this??
Hi smithd5,
Are you considering having your dealer look into this further? If so, please keep us updated. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to assist throughout your dealer visit if needed. We are available via PM.

Some ideas....does it still happen when the vehicle's alarm is not set? Is it the running lights or the brake lights flashing? If brake lights...what happens if you very lightly wiggle the brake pedal?
Check your locks...is it locking/unlocking itself? I had a bad door lock actuator that would cause the car to randomly unlock/lock itself...not sure if that causes the lights to blink or not.
I have Compass Trailhawk for almost a year now. Jeep always flashes running red lights (not stops), every 10-15 minutes when it is off. There is no difference whether it is locked or not. It flashes even with liftgate open. If you shutdown Jeep it will flash repeatedly.
This is not normal behavior. Tail lamps do not flash repeatedly when the car is shutdown. There is an electrical problem which needs to be serviced. Think about it, if this was normal, dealer lots would be aglow with flashing tail lamps.
