i installed one about 3 weeks ago, and i agree, this this is mega loud when in higher rpm's, and has a different sound to it, not like most intakes ive heard, its not bad but did take some getting used to. i find you can hear it with any minor change in the throttle, but i like it. not to sure about MPG but it does have better throttle response and its easier to get up to speed off lights and on the highway.

Nice job on the install, looks great! The Compass makes that setup really work well since you don't have to heat shield the filter. So how about that Magnaflow?

I got it for $222.44 free shipping. If you want the link let me know.
Shecky thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I don't have the time to install it myself so I am paying a shop to do it. No grease under my fingers this time

oh sweet you wont have to experience that install .

funny story from the parking lot at my work

my friend who has helped with some projects on the jeep most recently the k&n asked me why i didnt put on the stickers that came with it. he suggested i put them in the corners of my side windows, before i could respond why i didnt want them on my jeep. a silver dodge magnum pulls into a close by parking space, with a ton of flame stickers, dodge stickers, and of course the k&n stickers in the corners of the side windows.

the guy gets out he is wearing a muscle shirt, tatoos, facial piercings, and he had a thick coat of what looked like fake tan spray on . he walks by and says "sup bro's". at that point i turned to my friend rob and said thats why i didnt put the stickers on the jeep.

That is a funny story Shecky, which is why most folks who tend to prefer the classy look and would rather show the vehicle than the stickers, put the stickers under the hood, you can get really creative with that!

I agree with Cherokee, stick them to the air intake itself! Pimp that engine bay!
