Adding a Convex / Concave Mirror?

Iím going to add one of those circular concave / convex (sorry I can never remember which it is) mirrors to the drivers side mirror to help improve the blind spot on the drivers side.

My question is do I mount it closer to the vehicle (right side of drivers side mirror) or further away from the vehicle (left side of drivers side mirror)

Re: Adding a Convex / Concave Mirror?

Google image search shows, that mostly it is mounted away from the vehicle (left side of drivers side mirror assuming that your drivers seat is at the left side of the vehicle )

Re: Adding a Convex / Concave Mirror?

I put mine in the very bottom corner, farthest from the car. It looks better and I bought the mirrors that can be adjusted, so you can angle them however you please. They are a lifesaver.
