Coolant

Hi all, just a quick inquiry about topping up the coolant. Do you have to mix the coolant with distilled or deionised water to top-up the reservoir

Depends on if it is concentrated coolant or premixed. Premixed is added directly, concentrated needs be diluted with di-water.

If it is just topping off the reservoir I wouldn't bother either way, straight coolant would be fine, two teaspoons is not going to throw off the ratio and cause instant corrosion of the cooling system.

If you are at a gas station in BF-nowhere and they don't have the right coolant, distilled water would be my next choice. If you are forced to add any other kind of plain water, probably want to get it flushed before too long after you get back to home base. Wouldn't be urgent but if it was any significant amount of plain or dirty water, might as well flush.
