Does the iPod really fit ?

I heard (here or somewhere else) that the iPod doesn't really fit in the arm rest holder included in the compass for it, is that true ?

If anybody has any details regarding this that would be very nice.

Also, if anyone has the exact dimensions of this holder, please post them.

Thanks !

I saw a video where they were reviewing the Compass and they tried a couple of iPods and none of them fit right. I don't have an iPod, so I can't comment. It does hold the remote for my Sirius radio though

Ok. I just took my full sized Ipod out to see if it actually fits.

Verdict?

It's a VERY tight fit, but with it being -23 degrees C and me being in a t-shirt, I didn't try for long!

hehehe, thanks for your help. Is it the 30gig or 80gig iPod Video ?

Also, is it too tight ? I mean, in the long run, do you think it would damage it ?

Another thing, did you have a sleeve on it ?

Thanks again

It's the 20gig 'old' model full sized with no sleve.
I don't think damage would happen as it did fit....just very tight.

No sleeve.

yeah it is the old style 20gig size and probably older that won't fit.

Minis, the new gens and nanos should fit fine.
