Question Servicing Options?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone ever had a throttle body service done, if so how many kms/miles were on the clock at the time?

Just had a 60,000 km/36,000 miles service done and it was recommended I get it done to improve performance and reduce fuel consumption.....

I did my own cleaning. Trottle body cleaner from most auto chain and a low lint rag. Don't use paper towel as it may tear off and get inside.

My 2016 High Altitude actually threw a check engine light and went into limp mode a few weeks ago. Turned out it was a bad throttle body.

I had a 2008 Patriot with the same 2.4 as the 1st gen Compass. The throttle body lasted until 270,000 miles when it suddenly went into limp mode; no symptoms prior. It would start OK and get me going, but a mile down the road it was struggling. Fortunately I was in the city and only about a mile from my dealer. Ran me $500+/-.
