Third Brake Light Flasher

This is how to install a Third Brake Light Flasher Kit

I purchased the Flasher Kit from the following: Universal Brake Light Flasher/Strober - M1 model [FLSHR_M1] - $19.95 : 3rd Brake Flasher Web Site
(Actually ordered it from Amazon)

This install is for their M1 Flasher Kit.

Installed in a 2017 Jeep Compass

First picture is the kit in the packaging.

Send picture sure how I gained access to the third brake harness. I pulled the upper left and right trim pieces around the rear window by simply pulling on the cover.

Third pictures shows the wires going into the third brake light. The Black with light blue is ground and then green with white wire is the positive.
(The larger black wire with the light blue strip is the ground wire that went to the passenger side window defroster element.)

Fourth picture shows the flasher kit and the connectors included (Razor blade to show size)

Fifth picture show how I alternated the male and female connections as if I wanted to remove the flasher kit, I could simple make this connection and be back to normal.

The sixth picture here shows the connection needed. Please note however, I put the connections on here without actually crimping for the picture. I noticed that I had the red/yellow wire connectors reversed. Like the picture above (fifth) shows, if I removed this - I can make the simple connection.

The Red wire needs the the male connection and the yellow wire the feeling (reversed in this pic by mistake according to the way I used the connectors on the factor harness)

The last picture shows it taped up and read for the trim pieces to go back on and be done.

Hope this helps anyone that will be doing this. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. Took me 5 minutes. I hope I didn't confuse anyone with the switching of the connectors above, but incase someone was following what I did, wanted to warm you that I had those wires switched.
Just follow the diagram and you'll be fine! :0)
