Question Compass Hood

2 questions:

1- Why is the hood designed as it is
2- Why does it weigh so much

1- To match the rest of the vehicles design.

2- Do you have toothpicks for arms? By no means am I the strongest guy on the block but the hood doesn't really weigh that much.

"To match the rest of the vehicles design" - Don't see that but each to his own ....

"the hood doesn't really weigh that much" A lot more than most

I guess the answer to both is "Don't know?"

To make sure it stays closed and latched down. The rest of the front is plastic including the fenders so if you tap something its going to cave in for sure. Maybe the ood will save the vehicle but up the high its unlikely.
