So I would like to charge my pop up trailers battery via my compass but I only have a 4 pin wire harness. So how do I do it? And go..............

In the least you'd have to switch both end (car/trailer) to the big 6 wire plugs. Hopkin or such. One connection by the standard is used for 12V. That is how you get 12V to the trailer. You'd have to run a 30A fused 12 gauge or better from the battery or power box at the front to the rear connecting to the plug. You should also fuse it in the trailer end. Smaller if not needing that much power EG 20A.

NOTE: If left connected while in use you could run the cars battery down. Getting more sophisticated with a battery isolator could be implemented or simply disconnect the plug once parked.

This might help as it show the standard wiring assignments. Hitch & Trailer Supply Co Ltd. | Trailer hitches | Scarborough | Wiring Diagrams
