Hey guys im new to these forums and this will be my first post
I traded in my 2011 hyundai sonata for a jeep compass latitude (2013) last year, I have accumulated 25,000 miles on it so far. Ever since i hit 23,000-24,000 miles i ran into a problem that no one can seem to solve.
The problem only occurs when the engine oil temp gets to the half way marker (which is regular) when i start accelerating the engine sounds like there's a vacuum just sucking air in , REALLY LOUDLY. ( ill post up a video once i figure out how to ) At first i thought it had to do something with the transmission because i ran into a little transmission problem when i was coming back from a weekend getaway Upstate Ny where my transmission fluid overheated and the vacuum sound was so loud that i thought the car was going to blow up into flames any minute. I got to the dealer and showed them the video clips i have recorded of the noise and told them about the transmission fluid problem and they couldn't resolve the problem at all.
The dealer wont take the car in because they think that there's nothing wrong with it when i bring it to them (which does not make sense because it makes the darn vacuum sounds)
Any help and suggestions i can give the dealer to resolve this problem would be nice
Totally forgot, the other day i pulled over while going on the high (70-80mph) and the sound was getting really loud, i put it into N to see if it would still do it when i pop it out of gear, and in fact it was still doing the noise.
There is the the youtube link of the video i uploaded of one of the more clearer videos
ill post up another one if needed. thanks
