how often do you use 4wd lock?

i've heard that the freedom drive I system is excellent in the snow, i was just wondering how often you actually need to use the 4wd lock if the freedom drive provides alot of traction as it is? do you normally have to use it on semi snow covered roads, or just getting in to a driveway or something that has really really deep snow on it?

I use mine around the city when it's slippery out. I've also used in in deeper snow up to about the top of the bumper and had no issues pushing through it.

Everyday as a child i used to pray to God to give me a jeep. After a couple of years i realized that God did not work that way. So i stole a jeep and asked for HIS forgiveness

I use the lock in slippery mud and when the snow is thick on the road. Feels steadier with the lock on, more like u know what to expect. Dont use it in the rain tho, but we dont get heavy downpour here.
