Jeep Ride height..??

I would very much like to add about an inch or so of ground clearance to my 2014 compass.. I don't plan on heavy off road use, just some fishing and shootiing places I visit . I was wondering if this could be done and if so.. do I want a body lift, or can it be done with just shocks and or struts. I know this may be pretty obvious to most jeep and or truck owners, but I'm a first timer, so try not to bash me too much for my lack of basic knowledge. Thanks

Not sure if they are available but a 1-2" on most SUV's is attainable with a simple Rubber spacer bushing. In this case the installation could be a challenge as they would have to go into the strut assemblies. I have had my fronts out and pulled apart which wasn't too bad a job with a spring compressor tool. The backs are going to be more difficult to get out I am sure.

Google or search Jeep/off road sites and you might find something.

Or you can get a longer rod and line and fish from the tailgate. LOL

I have the rro kit on my 2012 limited 2.4 with larger tires as well. (225/75r16)The Strut mod is available however it's supposedly makes the rideabilty stifferand more rigid. I did not notice any change in driving with the rro lift.except for the road noise off my AT tires. 2 1/4 inch lift is the max your cv axles will allow for.

Shocks don't support the vehicle. The control the body damping wheel bounce stabilizing the vehicle. Other components are also involved.

You coils springs within the struts take the weight of the vehicle and set the height. Hence the reason for my post if a solution for making it happen was available. Swapping the springs for longer ones do the same thing as long as they fit in the struts but are a more expensive solution and the same amount of work.
