Haha yeah, a big cleaning is a must.
@ Cherokee : You're talking about an Infinity headunit, speakers or both?

Head unit and speakers, didn't think about posting pics, but I can remedy that now lol. Some nice mods you're going to be working on as well, love those lights!!!

These were a gift to me from a friend that he pulled out of his truck when he upgraded his system. Head unit:

Everything I need to get this mod done:

And to round it all off and make it look purdy in the end, a new bezel:

And y'all know what the K&N intakes look like lol, but now that hopefully it's getting warmer and the days are getting longer, I can start tackling these mods so I can move on to others, but when I get the stereo done, I plan on installing my CB radio as well.

@ Cherokee : Definetely going to have a better sounding system! So your speakers are Kicker, Hertz or Infinity? I am a bit confused! :P Are they component speakers with external crossovers?

mowgli, I wish I could better answer your question but I am a total newb when it comes to electronics. When I get everything installed, which I have enlisted the help of a good friend to do, I will be able to answer you more specifically then. Mechanical is more my strong suit lol.

#2 gets my vote. Has a very nice look to it and probably easier to keep clean, too.

I tried to buy the Akita AK-35 wheels but they are back order for 2 months so I got the Enkei PKR instead with 215/65/17 Pirelli tires. ( it will "lift" my Compass of 11mm + probably a lift kit this summer! )

Can wait to install them! Might be in about 2 weeks...

Guys,

Regarding spring cleaning.......would like to have your inputs and \ or comments on the famous clay bar process to regenerate the finish of the paint ?

Is it worth it ?

Thank's

My son does that phase along with others as part of his wash and wax 3 or 4 steps of which clay bar the surface with a clay bar lubricant is one step. I must say it is so so smooth when he's done. He may do the Compass for me or help while showing. The results quite impressive even on an older vehicle like his 2002 Explorer Sport. Mind you he's at it for about 4hrs for sure. It isn't fast.
