Unfortunately, there are not many of them around here, Compasses that is, but in the South, everybody waves at you, no matter what you drive, but there is a certain comeraderie among Jeepers that is not shared with too many other folks except bikers. In my Cherokee, everyone knows me for that car, so they all wave, and I get a lot of waves from strangers, but in the Copass, I have started waving at other Jeep drivers, regardless of model, to "spread the love" so to speak, just to see what kind of response I get. Interesting sociological study, but you might have something with that whole "Wave up" thing. I guess I will have to keep doing it and pay more attention.
The funny thing is, though, I usually pass the same people going to work in the morning each day. In the Cherokee, they recognize me. So the next day I will drive the Compass, and they're like, who is that, and, probably, what is that??? Where is that red Jeep? I honestly do wonder what other Jeep owners think when they see it. I have noticed people pull up very close behind me when I am at a stop to see what kind of car it is, which is also funny in its own way.
