Jeep Compass Front end Changes????

Does anyone know when Jeep Changed the front end on the Compass.

Were they all the same strut and mounting until the newer body came out in later 2017 (I believe is referred to as 2nd Generation)

I mean does the - say - 2010 or 2014 Jeep Compass have the same strut setup and mounting as say and early 2017 with the older body style?

It appears something happened when the new body style came out in 2017?????

My 2017 which I think was just a face lift of earlier model 2010 then they changed body style in 2017.
I believe this was the change in suspension when the new body style in 2017 came out.

Not sure if they was any earlier change along the way except maybe spring height with the 2010-2011 body style change???

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah ummm, I'm sorry to be rude but its kinda just how I am sometimes. Anyways first off, welcome back from.. however many years you spent living under that rock.. get yourself some sunshine and shake the dust off.

You see what happened in 2017 was the all-new second generation Compass rolled out, a complete redesign, it shares basically nothing from the first gens and...

So if what you are saying is you have one of the very last of the 1st gen models, I can't help you much. I don't know much about them other than that they are ugly, and that they unfortunately share the same name and forum as the Fiat based second gens Your best bet would be to read up on wikipedia to learn more about what changed over the years:

And if you are lucky Zoner will chime in and be much nicer and more helpful than me, he seems to be the most knowledgeable and active 1st gen member on the forum
