I posted this from my phone earlier, but can't find it now. So I own a 2018 Compass Limited 4x4, nice looking car. But, I've had issues with the start/ stop function. The first time it happened a few months ago, it was due to computer upgrades. After paying for those $45 bucks for the first one and then like 5 or 10 bucks for the other two, it worked again, but at the dealer for multiple days. This time it occurred, it was determined to be a bad back-up battery. A new battery solved this problem. Next our location on our GPS wasn't working, it showed our location many miles from where we actually were. A new radio was installed and that solved this issue. I hope we're nearing the end of these gremlins from showing up. It's a pretty car, but...
My dealership has a new 8.4 radio on order for me right now due to issues with it, this morning I had a warning on the cluster about the stop/start system, second time this week and umpteenth-million time total, a year ago they replaced my body control computer due to electrical issues........ I wouldn't hold my breath these things have the worst made software on top of the cheapest components imaginable, it likely will always be a bug bin. A very sharp looking, comfortable bug bin but a bin of bugs nonetheless.

Hmmm..... I’m having the same issues.... start stop would never seem to get beyond “charging.” Even on long trips. Asked them to check start/start aux battery. Dealer Service Advisor denied it has an ajc battery for start stop, says it’s using the “main battery.”
Fast forward....Radio wouldn’t turn off for my wife..dealer said door switch, fixed it under warranty, and when I said the start stop still not resolved, they counted new door switch and “reset” will fix start/stop. I asked again about the aux battery, since it’s always “charging” dealer refused... said just let it charge for about ten trips. Not yet, few hundred miles later.
Last week, GPS map was WAY off.... turns out connecting to zero satellites.
Need to go back to dealer, but I bring up concerns, they just tell me it they “reset it” and it will resolve. I read more about this jeep then they do, which is just sad.
Trust me, former 2014 factory ordered JKUR owner, but my fully loaded Compass Trail hawk was hardly “cheap” and shouldn’t be having these issues, and the dealer should at least try when a customer brings verifyable concerns. Really disappointed in FCA’s lack of dealer oversight/concern.

Next nearest dealer is an hour away, or a hour and a $50 R/T ferry. Hope the STAR request makes something happen with current dealer. Whole point of buying new vs used was the prospect of “fewer” trips to the dealer. Really miss my 2014 Rubicon. Zero issues in first two years...
