First mod to upgrade the appearance of the back...

I just did my first mod! I see horizontal imperfections and they drive me nuts. So until I can get the issue addressed, I made it disappear...

On my (early 07) Compass the muffler is black. Now mufflers are unpainted silver. I wonder why? Maybe they're trying to cut costs? I like my stock black muffler, it looks SO much better!

Can't agree more. The silver muffler only looks good on the sliver cars.
Now I like the look of the rear!

LoL! This is exactly what I was thinking of doing. What kind of paint did you use? I was considering picking up some Charcoal Grill paint, stuff is good for like 1200 degrees and is cheap, <$4/can.

I used the same grill paint on the vettes Borla Stingers to hide the machined aluminum look and I recommend using it. 9000 miles and no problems...easy to clean and hides the silver without detracting from the rear look that gloss back will.

Rust-oleum
Specialty High Heat

7778 BAR-B-Q BLACK

1200deg F for Wood stoves and Grills...

Worked really well and applied really easily.
