235/65/17 is a good size, I've ran that size.

There is only a few models of 15" wheels that will fit on the compass.

Those look great!! I just got my 2015 4x4 trailrated compass and I like it so far. Why did you go and change the tires, because that's what I want now but I have to wait until I ware these out. You Suck and I mean that respectfully.

Changed the tires, because I offroad lots, and the factory tires are not aggressive enough for any serious offroading.

Looks Great

Hope you don't mind a couple questions?

Any rub?

Wheel spacers?

Offset on the Chaos wheels?

This is close to the same setup my son wants to do with his compass.

Thanks

They have noticeably more noise than factory tires, it's to be expected with the tread design. I have added additional sound proofing (Before I ran these tires) so the noise isn't all that bothersome.

No rub at all (I have done the pinch weld mod) but that wouldn't have to be done anyways

No spacers

0 offset

Thanks

He is torn between those and Rage R5 (cheaper). The offset on them is 38 or 40. What effect would that have?

I think he has decided on General Grabber AT2 tires in the same size as yours.

You do have that Jeep looking very good.

That small piece of plastic has a metal part that sticks out underneath, with larger tires it will rub when they are turned.

You can't just run any 15" wheel, only the wheels mentioned in this thread will work

15" Wheels and 30" tires on your Patriot (no spacers): Test Fit Results - Jeep Patriot Forums

The 38mm and 40mm offset means the wheel sits closer to the body of the vehicle, so running larger (or wider than stock tires) will not work as they will rub without using spacers.

the 0 offset bring the wheel farther away from the body like a spacer but is safer than using a spacer.

Again thanks

Tried to do a little more research today. Understand the offset more now.

Think this is his setup:

RRO lift

MB TKO wheels: 15 X7 5-114.30 0 BKMTXX

General Grabber AT/2: LT235 /75 R15 104S C1

I think this will work without any other modification-your thoughts?

I am sorry for so many questions but he doesn't have money to waste on wrong decisions. High school with 3 sports and a job.

Yup, that should work if he's lifted he shouldn't have any problem.

Wow, looks amazing! Makes it look really aggressive and mean, the lift also really suits the tires as well. Congrats on the great purchase.

Having problems with back end. Three alignments and new bushings for the control arms.

Same problem for anyone?

With RRO lift>

^What are the symptoms for noticing those issues with alignments and bushings?

I downsized to "16, no tire rubbing tho but be very careful on rear brake hose/tubes/lines especially on full inch smaller rims. The way they are bended and with that lenght turns out to be very close to upper innerside of rim almost undetectable. Two jeep workshops and two tire rotation services saw nothing. I've got that clunking noise so started checking everything, wheel balancers were hitting the tubes, both rear.

Rear tires wearing on the inside. It is easy to see a problem. The rear looks like the top of wheels/tires are pushed in and bottom (roadside) is out.
