Here's a thought... CVT swapout

Has anyone considered a swap out of the CVT2 transmission to the 6 spd that is found in the 2014 and up? The engine didn't change, the dimensions didn't change, why couldn't it be done?

Any thoughts?

If it were blown CVT it may be worth investigating. The gear shift console is likely different as well as harness and the computer control systems as well as connectors. Programming in the main ECU may be different for it as well.

I am no mechanic but there are always unknowns in these major changes.
