My new Compass

Hi, this a new member from the UK just picked up my new Compass. Very different from my LR Discovery 2 I have traded in.

Just 2 small issues:
1. Rear left outer door handle does not seem to be fixed
2. Shiny gear knob is blinding with the sun out.

Is yours a 2013 or 2014? It looks just like mine (2014).

Not sure, just purchased - how can you tell if it is a 2013 or a 2014? What is different?

New Compass

In the U.S. the registration and title will show the year- I don't know about the UK. If you have the CVT it's probably a 2013. On the 2014 it has a 6-speed automatic (unless you got the tral-rated verson, that still has the CVT). If you can't feel it shift, it is probably the CVT.

It is a 2.2 CRD Limited - so 6 speed manual on a diesel engine.

Looks nice in grey, is the car still rare in UK?

2014 has new dashboard accents on glove box and around gear stick, plus newer 18" wheels

Yes, it does. The control is on the left stalk with the main lights - you need to turn the stalk to turn on the lights and then pull the stalk outwards to turn the fogs on.
Bit odd but works.

Right on, I was curious to know how they work as mine doesn't have them, but I am thinking of adding them later on.

Thanks

Update

All initial issues fixed, and while mpg was poor for first 1k miles now getting better.
Currently getting 40 mpg when solo but this dropped to 27 mpg when towing my caravan (maximum size in UK)
Tried waving at other Jeep drivers but they seem a bit as the Compass is still pretty rare in UK.
