Can hardly wait!

Hi everyone!

name's Marie Victoria from France. Last week, me and my husband have finally ordered my Jeep Compass (Limited, bright metallic silver). After looking and comparing different car models, their options and prices, Iíve decided (yes, itís got to be me to decide, after all itís gonna be mine  ), to buy a Jeep Compass. Actually, my hubby wanted me to consider getting the Dodge Caliber but when I tested it, I concluded that itís a car for really tall persons, for you've got to have long legs to be able to easily push the pedals (my husband's got no difficulties though, he stands 6'5") . Itís not that Iím too short (I stand 5′4″), I don't know if itís just me but everytime I got to push the clutch pedal in, my knee would touch that thing (donít know how itís called) under the steering wheel. And it was very uncomfortable. So after testing other cars in this concessionaire, Iíd say that Compass suits me well. So last week, we paid the downpayment (2,600 Euros) and be having it this week. Oh btw, here in France, the price ranges from 23,900 Euros- 27,300 Euros .

It's been ten days since we ordered it, and i can hardly wait! I really want it soooo badly!

I really hope that (like you) I will also love my Jeep Compass. I hope I won't have regrets in the future.

Congrats! and yes, the wait is agonizing..

Nice to see some international flavor here!!

A main reason for us going with the compass over the caliber was indeed the head room and so far, it has been flawless - easily handling the worst winter has to show.

merci, merci beaucoup to both of you, [email protected] and ACX!
ahhh, thanks for the assurance! you just can't imagine how I really feel right now -- really excited and becoming more and more impatient! not the same way I felt with my Peugeot 206, haha! oh, I'll still keep (my Peugeot) -- to be used when grocery shopping or taking the kids to school. I don't want dings on my Jeep Compass -- no way!

I originally wanted a Caliber too, but my wife convinced me to get the Compass. I prefer the seating in the Compass, and I like the dash better. I don't need a drink cooler.

Good call

I had test driven the Caliber... Actually I had a rental Caliber for a week I found that it ate more gas then the Compass does(weird) and it was nice inside but I definatly love my Compass more. Its not too much more and I am finding it WAY more useful then I would've found the Caliber. Plus I think in the long run the re-sale on the Compass will be better then the Caliber.

thanks guys! i think i really made a good choice!

(@ [email protected], what do you think about the Peugeot 4007? Looks cool but I still prefer my Compass...)

Oh, there's just one thing though guys... and please, please tell me honestly, don't you have problems with the (Jeep Compass) VISIBILITY thing? There seem to be people that complain about this... I hope I won't have problems about this (too bad I didn't notice that when I test drove it)

rear visibility for me has not been a major issue, because the compass is so small..

I'm used to the view through the mirror now and besides being careful when shoulder checking, I don't have any major issues myself..
