Hey Vics,

Congrats on the order. I'm in the same boat as you. If your dealer is looking to have the car built to your specs (as opposed to getting one that has already been ordered), it may take a bit longer than quoted. I ordered mine on Sept. 7 (from Ontario), and they originally told me that it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. They've since amended that to 8-18 weeks. At this point, we're looking at 7 weeks tomorrow, and the car doesn't even have a VIN yet.

I hope your Compass is delivered when expected, but be prepared to wait! From what I've read from others, it'll be worth it!

Mel

P.S. Congrats on the wedding!

Decided to take one off the lot with more options than I really wanted, still got a great deal...didn't want to wait 2-3 months. Picked it up yesterday night and already have put 140km on it. Wife is really happy with it.

2007 Jeep Compass Limited
-Black clear coat (although hard to keep clean and cant hide swirl marks, black looks very sharp for this vehicle in my opinion, especially in the Limited model which has the silver bumpers to break it up a bit)
-Pastel slate gray leather (two tone looks sporty and the leather seats are very comfortable, seem as though they will wear well)
-4x4 (what is a jeep without 4x4?)
-CVT (newer technology may pose issues?)
options:
-convenience group (why a vehicle named Compass does not come with an onboard compass as a standard option does not make sense to me)
-power express sunroof (although rarely open it adds a luxury feel to the vehicle, and sunlight is always nice)
-Boston Acoustics premium sound (very good sounding system and worth the cost as compared to the stock sound)
-aluminum 18"chrome wheels (did not like these at first glance but have a very nice muted look as compared to other "chrome" looking rims, and I have been told that they are less susceptible to corrosion compared to earlier "chrome" wheels offered by chrysler.
-security and cargo (not a big fan of security systems and thier effectiveness)
-6 disk cd (convienent option, less hassle if you are into listening to cds)
-Uconnect hands-free (don't even know what this is or when this will ever be used)
-full size spare (adds weight to the rear end which is good for winter traction, and adds more saftey in the rear crumple zone)
-smoker's group (NO smoking in my compass, ashtray is removable and a good coin holder)

If you have a cel phone with Bluetooth technology, then you can wirelessly 'hookup' your cel to the vehicle.

When your cel phone rings, it will go through the stereo (great if you listen to music loudly) and the stereo readout will tell you who is calling etc. You can just push a button, and start talking without actually touching the phone.
You can also voice dial preset numbers (again without touching the phone)

I also have Uconnect hands-free in my jeep (when I ever get it that is) and can't wait for this feature as I love the music loud at times
