New 2017 Compass with one question...

Just got the new style 2017 Limited Compass in silver with the black roof and 19" wheels. Really love most things about it, although the transmission is a little funky in how it shifts or doesn't, but it's fun in autostick mode.

But one thing bugging me can't figure out so far...the range or distance to empty and mpg displays often just simply show "--" no number, just 2 dashes. This seems to happen at various times with or without being low on gas. Right now down to 1/8th tank, would be nice to see what the range to E calculation would be to give me some indication, but instead it just shows "--" and has been that way for at least a 1/4 tank. The average MPG is showing 19.3, the current mpg throws all sorts of instantaneous numbers out but the averaged one next to that display sometimes shows a number, but is now also just --. Thanks for any insights!

Garage
Mine did the same at first. Filled it with fuel and then reset the A & B trip settings and I reset the fuel economy also.
If your not sure how to reset just check your owners manual. But just a matter of selection with you left key pad on the steering wheel and holding the okay button. Hope that works for you.

Welcome and congratulations! It sounds the setting to A & B trip is the better indicator when to fill her up.

Thanks for the responses, when I refilled last, the range said 267, which I was very discouraged by, but then drove and drove and drove probably 40 miles, still the range said 267! A little after that then it changed but it appears to be fairly worthless, as it will just jump up and down by large chunks. I will try the resetting the trips and mpg again and see what happens. Missing my old Escape Hybrid which just showed a number when you filled up, and went down steadily from there, seemed quite reliable.
