Stick shift '18 Sport

Is anyone noticing that when your uphill on the manual compass, the brakes feel like they're stuck or something? I feel like it could also be some type of assistance technology not to roll back but it's really annoying and I'm wondering if it's just my car or that's just technology. I let go of clutch and hit the gas as I normally do and there's a delay because it feels like the brakes are being pressed.

Yes, this is electronic hill assistance. Since there's no hand brake, the car automatically holds the brake for about 2 seconds or so. If you just wait, it'll let go, reengaging again as soon as you trap the brake. It's a little annoying, making it easy to rev a little high, but a must have for hilly city driving with no hand brake.

Nothing wrong with your car, just have to get used to it and find the sweet spot for there control.
