Hi,

My name is Steve and I come form Belgium.
I have a brand New 2018 Limited 4x4 Compass granite crystal.
I'm very happy to know you.
I have a lot of question but one of the them is : How the 4x4 works on the compass ?? because when I'm in 35mph, I heard a noise from the Tranny (humming noise) and it's seems to be normal for most of Compass owner. Ok but I'm curious, Why at 35 mph ?? What changes at this speed ??

Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new Compass!
Some say, the humming sound appears when the driveshaft for the rear wheels is disconnected.
When the Compass starts from a standstill, it's using all for wheels. When reaching the mentioned speed and traction is sufficient, it disconnects the rear wheels. Next time you realize that sound, you can either put your shifter into manual mode or push the Selec-Terrain knob. If you do so, the humming should disappear.
