First Jeep - WNY

Picking her up this week. So excited. 2015 High Altitude edition. 28k Miles. 4wd, heated seats, sunroof, nav, black leather interior, backup cam, etc

Can't wait to start customizing. First thing will be tints, and blacked out grill and emblems

Question about the 4wd.... Am I correct that it is a front wheel biased "AWD" system that automatically sends traction to the rear wheels when it detects slippage? And the 4wd Lock just keeps it in 4 wheel all the time?

Also, is it only when it detects slippage or are there other triggers (my bf's Charger will go to AWD under 37 degrees, when the wipers are on, or when it detects slippage)

Lastly, is there a limit to how fast you can drive with the 4wd lock engaged?

Garage
4wd should operate at any speed, even in lock
my manual says you cant shift into 4wd above 75mph

4wd LO should not be done unless your stationary
only the trail hawk model has 4wd LO
if you get to high speeds in 4lo, your engine will be at an extremely high rpm

I honestly cant think of any situation that i would be driving 55 that would need 4wd.
