My name is Shen and last week I bought a new 2018 Jeep Compass Altitude 4x4 with 5 miles on it. I had a 08 Grand Cherokee before the compass and I am still getting use to a smaller, less powerful vehicle.
Yesterday we had our first snowfall here in Anchorage Alaska and she did great in it!
I am glad to be part of this group and I hope to learn for you all!
Location: Two locations in NH: One near Concord, the other at the 45th.
Welcome! My Compass had its first taste of snow last week. Wasn't much, but what there was packed into white ice. The was closed because a semi couldn't make the hill. Driving an unfamiliar vehicle, I get real nervous backing up when we're sliding sideways. It wasn't that I couldn't make the hill, it was that I couldn't get around the obstacle. I just had to pull in and wait for the DOT to spread some salt & sand. All things considered, I think I'm going to get some real snow tires. I don't trust all-season tires in real snow.
