Just bought my 2019 compass trailhawk. So far so good. Traded my ram 1500 with 5.7l on it. Love the gas mileage and the handling and ride is good for a small suv. Hopefully won’t have the issues some members are having.

Welcome! Looks like you've done your homework before buying. I think if you keep an eye on your dipstick you'll be fine. I Hope you enjoy your new ride.

Oil went down 1/2 quart after 1800 miles. So could be worst. Will have to wait and see.

In my experience you're about in the middle. My 2018 was getting about 1000/qt at the outset and improved to about 3000/qt. My 2019 used about 1 quart in its first 5000 miles. its not unusual for a new engine to use some oil early on, but consumption should drop to nil by 10,000 miles. After my first experience I'm watching my dipstick very closely.
