Smile In the woods

I'm done "modding" my new '14 FD1 Sport. I installed front tow hooks, put on a FD2 facia, added a high note horn, installed a Curt class 2 hitch, screwed on Jeep splash guards and had Yokahama 225/65x17 AD/S's put on. Happy with all the mods (hooks/facia job was a bear). Here she is in my woods. It'd look alot better with a 10 point buck hanging off the back, but I am "deerless" this year, so far...

Looks great. Did you have to cut any plastic to install the hitch? I'm planning on installing one and appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks. Yes, I had to cut about 2" from the lower facia. I was really OK with that, since that means the hitch is that much higher. If it sits below the plastic bit, it would be REAL low. I found some good video help online, but it is not too hard. For sure, you'll want to drop the exhaust. It helped a ton... I also bought the wire/relay kit and ran the wires into the spare tire area. The biggest pain was running the power wire up the the battery.

Have you noticed a change in gas mileage with the slightly bigger tires

Maybe a bit, but with the bad winter it'd be hard to tell. The better traction and attitude is worth it
