wharenui I have the Compass Trailhawk with the Falkens. Great on the highway but turn to paper mâché on logging roads. Have done 30000km on them. With hiking time coming in BC I am looking for replacement tyres. The Falkens didn't make 50 km on a rocky road before a rock through the middle of the tread. I have put in thousands of km on similar roads with previous jeeps with Goodrich AT and haven't had to use the spare.

What kind of a dealership needs to put on tires and wheels on a car to see the fit or not. And the sad thing is, there are people who trust these guys with fixes and etc.

Figured I ask this question again, But was anyone able to put on the Cherokee tire size on the trailhawk compass? 245/65R17?

ss427ss This is what my 2018 Compass Sport looks like with the Cooper 235 60R 17 tire on it. It came stock with the 215 65R 16 tire.

NicoM14 Got my Cherokee Trailhawk rims mounted today! Very happy with it.
17x7.5 : 5 x 110 : 31mm offset iirc
Stock ones were 17 x 7 40mm.
Stayed with 225 60 17

jim010 Anyone else put on the Cherokee Trailhawk rims besides me?

WisHawk Me Bad/ Sorry was thinking of another posting by a different poster. Sorry

6door74 yea, no trailhawk wheels. i was looking at the same (or similar) set you got but came across those cherokee wheels for a steal of a deal. my wife really just wanted black wheels so that deal was perfect. Saved myself money in the process and she's content.

Well, she will be. Was going to put them on last night while she was sleep. Went to take the wheel off and realized I don't have the wheel lock key

jim010 Forgive me me, but the pictures he posted are not KL Cherokee Trailhawk rims.

WisHawk Grand Cherokee rims have a different lug pattern. Those rims are off of a Cherokee Trailhawk

Are those Grand Cherokee rims? They don't look like the Cherokee Trailhawk ones.

WisHawk Lug Bolts, Wheel locks would have been a dealer add on.
12-01-2018 06:54 AM
6door74 Does the compass have lug bolts or lug nuts? I went to change the wheels and realized i have wheel locks to which i don't have a key! I have to call the dealership tomorrow but I've been looking online and found Mopar wheels locks that appear to be lug bolts. I don't have the spare tire and i looked all throughout the car for the key. Is this standard or is it something the dealer put on?

jim010 Looks wayyyy better!

Thanks.

Well, now everyone knows that the Cherokee rims will be just fine.

WisHawk Looks great jim010. I bet it rides and handles a bit better now.

jim010 Here you go. First Compass with Cherokee Trailhawk rims:

jim010 Tires are getting mounted as we speak. Pictures to follow.

6door74 Decided on these.....225/60/17

Reviews seem to be very good. Especially wet traction and road noise which will be very important to my wife. $100 rebate from tire rack and free shipping don't hurt either!
11-28-2018 05:18 PM
jim010 Yeah, I can't wait myself to see the Cherokee trailhawk rims on my Compass too!

My plan is to use these rims for snow tires next winter. And I am going to be mounting 225/65/17 Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus on my stock Trailhawk rims this next summer.
I presently have 215/65/17 Firestone Winterforce II mounted on my factory Trailhawk rims.
Looks good. Put the pic and specs in the "official" wheel & tire thread for others to reference

6door74 Might be coming into a set of new takeoff 17" black cherokee wheels at a good price. My wife will be just fine with black wheels so i might as well save the money and remember it's not my car. I still plan on switching to a set of AT tires for a more aggressive look but that will happen in time. Tires are 225/60/17 so they should bolt right on and be fine. Right?
