I've had very bad experiences with spacers. The spacer broke, which made the wheel nuts loose which cause my wheel to fall off the hub while driving. The tire store said they tightened it to spec. best they could!!!
Narrower tire width is also better for snow driving. The wider tire plow through the snow and reduce your winter traction.

in not a fan of wheel spacers
add in the cost of the spacers, and are you really saving much?

What to do?
Just looking for some advice.
I have a 2015 Compass High Altitude. I am running 225/60R17. I want to go to the BFGoodrich KO2's.My problem is the cost. Do I go with the 235/65/17's which are $195 a pop or do I go with the 245/65/17, which are $157 and add a spacer to help prevent rubbing.
Not sure if I will need a lift kit for the 245's or not. I have read on here that the 235's fit nice with no lift kit and no rubbing.
