I was debating a lift for the longest when I got my 2014. It honestly made no sense for me to do that since I'm FWD. If it was 4x4 it might be a different story for me. Besides, who doesn't like to be different XD

Lowering the compass is very doable. I personally have mine dropped on BC Racing coilovers with SPC camber arms in the rear. The drop isn't for everybody (depending where you live.)

You can have appearance, I'll take capability.
Very well said. I've always wanted a lifted jeep, but not on this platform. Plus I love being different. Now if I lived further up north like NC that would be a different story for me. In Florida the hills we have are the massive trash mounds. Not too many spots to go off roading her unfortunately, and the few spots we have I take my atvs out to abuse them.

_JET_ Im wondering if you can get springs and struts/shocks from a caliber srt and put them on... the srt is already 1" lower then normal calibers and lowering springs bring it down another inch. So if you put that on our compasses would it lower them 2" do you think?

_JET_ I was looking at the Patriot forums and I think that they can go lower then the black compass above, he is using BC coilovers which let you adjust the ride height. Personally I think the height of the black one is perfect. I also read that Patriot guys were bending their sway bars or links because of it being so much lower so that might be something to watch out for if you go lower. Would love some input from the owner of that black Compass but his posts are older and maybe he isn't on here much anymore

JeepEntusiast got the same question too. how low can it go? haha! but i think i'd still choose a lifted than a lowered compass

2014jeepcompass How low is that black compass?

Tyler-98-W68 Very doable!

H&R makes lowering springs for Compass and Patriots

SRT4 wheels looks awesome on a compass

Here is a set on a lifted compass (mine)

compazguy Never seen a lowered Compass before. If you really want to do it, try to research about the H&R lowering springs.

tripplec Yeah but you could see what it looks like. Not much ground clearance for sure.

Putting 16" rims with low profile tires would take it down without messing with the suspension. However the cost of rims and tires would not be a low cost solution either.

Personally I like ground clearance. For non pave roads and in Winter for clearance getting through deep snow. Higher is better.
