Feel for life CW .......it's call bad luck, hope everything will be worked out for you.

As for us the guys from up North (the Canucks......and proud of it too)..........all the reasons mentionned above are valid and exact too............price of gas up here is way up there (nothing compare to Europe) and we have what we call WINTER.................and for most of us it's surviving time. So by having a Compass we are surviving and having fun with it.............
Plus the price of the Jeep line in Canada is pretty decent for whatever reason they decided........so no wonder you'll see a lot of Jeep products up here as we love to play outside during summer (camping, canooing, biking...etc) and we enjoy winter activities as well, (skiing, skating,........and for woman some shopping, etc)

So those are my two cents on the subject, plus come winter we are more often inside at night and we can reply to post like this one..........LOL

Irish jeep

Hi all, you have an Irish jeep owner here(2.0l Turbo diesel, Limited). purchased aug 2007. unfortunately not so many around here, and those that you see seem to be mostly 2007 or '08 ones.Would you believe it my warranty is up just 2 months and a "bloody" shock goes on the front suspension(oil all over the arch).so how about that for bad timing. While ordering a new one my mechanic was told there was a bit of a backlog on them as it seems to have happened to a few jeeps. What do you think of that guys. Anone else heard of this?

Jeepster2 Wow! Team USA is losing to Team Canada 5-4. Oh well, it's a win either way.

compact suvs fit perfectly into this catagory so the compass, patriot, tuscon, crv, escape, etc are the new "family car" i guess.

and with the competitive pricing, IMO a lot more canadians will pick an suv over a sedan if the price is roughly the same.

No offense, but I don't think that's it. While it's a good reason to get one (that's my reason actually), as the post above mine proves, everyone else around the world would go for the same thing with that reasoning.

On JeepForum, a mod that goes by "Gramps" (is he on here?) has posted statistics that show the Compass vs. the Patriot, and the Patriot is miles (or kms!) ahead in sales. Up here, I see it as being 50/50. So this could be a contributing factor... Only a guess though.

I must be a Canadian, because those are the same reasons we bought ours!

The Canadian Phenomenon

Was pondering why there seems to be a lot more Canadians on this forum than from other countries?

I know we are being seen by a wide range of nationalities; just look at some of the spam posts we get. We rarely hear from our British friends or the Aussie owners. Even the U.S. contingent seems a little light at times.

There are countries not listed on the pole. Just create a message below if you purchased a Compass in another country. Please note I understand that the country you purchased your Jeep Compass in may not be your home country.
