MPG report after long trip
I will try to keep this as short as possible. I left Greer, SC on Jan 5 for Myrtle Beach, SC. Returned to Greer on Jan 6th. Left Greer on Jan 7 for Erie, Pa and returned on Jan 11. I kept a record of every fillup and the mileage per. This involved 70+ mph traffic for a large portion of the time, as well as hills with 5 to 7% grades. 199.6 miles/7.41 gal = 26.93 mpg, 278.7 miles/10.277 gal = 27.11 mpg, 250.6 miles/10.123 gal = 24.5 mpg, 256.4 miles/10.187 gal = 25.17 mpg, 298.5 miles/11.04 gal = 27.03 mpg, 142 miles/6.074 gal = 23.37 mpg, 275.5 miles/11.4 gal = 24.16 mpg, 260.8 miles/10.128 gal = 25.77 mpg. Total: 1962.1 miles/76.639 gal = 25.60 mpg.
The Compass drives like a dream. I REALLY like it. It had 240 miles on the odometer when I started this trip, and I think the mileage will improve after further breakin time.
