Canadian ecorebate

I have a question for all you owners of the manual jeep compass 4x4. I recently got a rejection letter from the wonderful canadian govenment saying the 2007 compass 4x4 was no longer eligible for the $1000 rebate. They changed the website as of December 12th, 2007 and subsequently it is now missing from the "eligible" list. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I talked to transport canada and the lady there said that they have had numerous complaints about this.

Thanks

Re: Canadian ecorebate

4x4 was never eligible - sorry.
I too hoped to qualify.
I took delivery of my Compass June 30/07 and was told so prior to that time.

Re: Canadian ecorebate

We got our FWD in May, submitted the paperwork in Dec when the program became available and got the cheque in February.

Re: Canadian ecorebate

Sweeeet,
Wonder what the deal was on the '07.
What could be the difference between the two years models??
Anybody else feel short changed on that one?
