Unhappy CVT Oil change question

So, I have been doing a lot of looking into my CVT and the recommended maintenance. It seems for the oil change they also say to replace the filter. However, every post I have seen with "the filter" is really referring to the strainer in the pan. The tranny does have a filter located at the cooler on the top backside of tranny. The repair manual (chrysler's) mentions to replace that filter when performing a rebuild. I was wondering if this filter should be replaced when changing the oil and strainer? I do have 150,000 on the odometer so I figured this was a no brainer. Every oil change I've done goes with a filter change. Also, I can find all the necessary parts online but this "filter", therefore my (most strikingly odd) question.
